Be Kind To Yourself

“Be good to yourself. Everything else will find you later. It’s okay to be selfish sometimes if growth is the drive. Remember that” – Unknown

Who thinks being selfish is a bad thing? It all depends on how you look at it. In my opinion, which i’m sure is shared by many, looking after yourself should be your number 1 priority. Life can often get in the way and so it’s important from time to time to check in with yourself and indulge in a little self-care.

There’s nothing wrong with being ‘selfish’. We associate the word ‘selfish’ with negativity, however there’s nothing negative about a bit of self-love every now and again and doing exactly what you want to make you feel better.

If you are kind to yourself and allow yourself to have your much needed ‘you-time’, then you will be able to give the very best version of yourself to your family/friends/clients/job/colleagues. Sometimes a simple bit of R&R to recharge your batteries is just what you need to make you feel brand new and ready to take on the world again!!

A little update from me!

At the end of March myself and 2 of our instructors (Laura and Gina) and one of my licensees (Rosie) travelled over to Blackpool for the International Fitness Showcase. We had such a great time, love a road trip! Lots of giggles and wow what a fantastic turnout, it was amazing (albeit very nerve-wracking) to be teaching 100 people in each of my sessions. I taught ‘One Night Only’ from Dream Girls and ‘Footloose’ from Footloose. Two ultimate feel-good routines! We also joined in other fab classes that were taking place at the event, including a theatre jazz class. Felt so good to join in a class and just dance. Totally my kind of dancing and my kind of music!

Have a great week!
