Hi everyone! Happy April, I hope you have all had a lovely month and are keeping safe and well? The world is beginning to open up again with restrictions lifting, the days are longer and warm weather is (fingers crossed) on the horizon. We’re so happy that lots of small, local businesses have been able to re-open their doors this week and continue doing what they love!

Indoor group exercise classes such as ours aren’t able to reopen just yet, however I am super excited that next week (weather permitting) we will be doing a one off outdoor class. Fingers crossed for some sunshine!!

We are back to our online ‘On Broadway’® Dance Fitness classes this week after having a week off for Easter break. We didn’t let you off the hook that easily though, those of you who are part of our client Facebook group had lots of pre recorded bonus classes to give you your daily dancing fix, we hope you enjoyed them as much as we loved filming them for you!

Speaking of getting our dancing fix, have you heard this quote before?

‘There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them’

I couldn’t agree more, I love the way dancing makes us feel so free and joyful!

We hear so many people saying, especially over the past year, that when they dance they feel happy and energised and they can’t help but smile. And I think that we need all the happiness and joy we can get, let’s grab it with both hands!!

It’s no secret that dance is great for keeping fit, but not everyone is aware of how amazing it is for our mental health and wellbeing. ‘Dancing like no one is watching’ has proved to be a great escape from day to day life as well as a fabulous mood booster. When you dance it releases chemicals that promote satisfaction, euphoria and a high pain tolerance. What’s not to love?
