Hi, how are you? Can you believe we are in August already? I hope you have had a great month.

We have been welcoming lots of newcomers to ‘On Broadway’® Dance Fitness at our taster classes over the past week which has been amazing. I’ve loved meeting lots of new ladies, both in person and online, who love to dance! Dancing to our new Dolly Parton routine, ‘9 to 5’, has been so much fun. Who else has been loving it?

Last month we also finished our high energy Charleston routine to ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’. Take a look at what we got up to on ‘week 4’ below:

This month’s blog is all about how you should never let age get in the way of doing what you love, and here are the amazing and inspiring women proving just that!!

Have you been watching the Olympics over the last few weeks? It’s amazing to see such a range of ages competing this year, from 12 years old through to 66!

In fact, the oldest woman in Olympics history is Lorna Johnstone, an equestrian from the UK, who was 70 years of age at the 1972 games. How fab is that? This year, Mary Hanna at age 66 became the second oldest female to compete in the Olympics. We love to see it!

It’s not just Olympic athletes proving to us that age is just a number. Here is the incredible Eileen Kramer, a 106 year old dancer and choreographer…

Watch an interview with Eileen Kramer

In the video below Eileen was 104 years old! So inspiring!

One of my favourite quotes comes to mind:

“Some people are old at 18 and some are young at 90. Time is a concept that humans created” ~ Yoko Ono

So true. Another great quote I love… “You don’t get older, you get BETTER” ~Shirley Bassey.

Have a great month and remember… age is just a number!!
